Brotherly Love

I guess you can say that it's been a long morning/day already. I caught all my mistakes in my last blog. For those of you who know me pretty well, I am a perfectionist. So it is driving me crazy when things aren't written or done correctly. Anyways.

"Brotherly Love" is the title for today's blog. You'll be able to tell from the picture of Joshua's arm why. Today I just really felt like I was at my whits end. Pretty much all morning they were ugly, unkind, and disobedient. Not only to each other but me as well. Dylan got frustrated with Joshua at the park and bit him. I mean BIT him. He attached his teeth to Joshua's arm. I felt so bad. It only gets worse as they get older doesn't it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I am really discouraged today. I love my boys and they are great. I just don't know how to deal sometimes.

New York New York

This past weekend Scott and I got a little time away. We took a trip to New York City. This was our 3rd trip in the time that we have been married. It was great!! We got to do things and visit places we hadn't on previous trips. We ate great, walked a lot, shopped, walked some more, and saw Bruce Willis. We took a walk through Central Park and were about to get on the train when we spotted him. I went into instant paparazzi mode and we actually somewhat stalked him through the park. Too bad my picture skills aren't anything to write home about. That's him on the left. Don't even get me started on how I missed the best shot ever and only got half of his body. It was alot of fun though.
Finally, isn't is funny how we as parents take trips with our spouses to get away from the children. Well, they were on our mind most of the trip. Just the thought of traveling with them in the future. How much fun it will be. Joshua is a big "M's" fan (M&M's), he would have definitely love the store in Times Square. So much to do with little time and not a whole lot of money. Things are so expensive, but this trip was worth every penny.
We of course walk the Brooklyn Bridge, again. It was awesome. I can never get too many pic's of it. The weather happened to be absolutely beautiful and warm.
Finally, we couldn't help but not get a picture of this sign in Little Italy. We have some friends that call Joshua "Cha Cha".

It's Official !!

Joshua is finally potty trained. We are so proud of him. It has been one week accident free. He has earned alot of stickers, gumballs, and new trains. The true test was this weekend when we went to Dorsey's (our neighbor) birthday party. We went to Kids Gym. They jumped on the trampoline, ran around, played with bubbles, and had alot of fun. He has done awesome! We never thought he would do as well as he has. He doesn't need to really be asked, he'll just go on his own. He's all grown up, not really.

Dylan will soon follow I'm sure. As quickly as he has picked up some of brothers behaviors, the potty is right around the corner. With Dylan being a big boy he will automatically graduate to the BIG potty. He probably won't fit on the little one.

Dylan carried those noodles around for 2 days. Guess he is ready for summer and swimtime.

These are the days of our lives

Just a normal day with putting stickers on your head, playing with puzzles, and using the potty outside.
Joshua has gotten into putting stickers on everything. The hard part is always trying to get them off. Thank goodness these page markers were easy to get out of his hair. It wouldn't have been a pretty sight.

Joshua is also getting into large puzzles. It has been fun to watch . He is also doing a "fantastic" job as he would say. Dylan of course just has to be right in the middle of all the action. They do play well together. Joshua is always hugging on Dylan. So sweet!

The potty has made its way outdoors. Soon we will hopefully master it. Until then we will do what ever it takes to not have an accident in our pants. At least he had his sunglasses to protect him from all of the glare.

Time Away

Mommy got some time away from us this weekend. She was able to visit with a college friend up in Nashville.
As much as one needs some alone time or "Me" time, it will never replace the time spent with your children. Yes, I was able to get away for the weekend and had a great time but I was constantly looking at my watch trying to figure out what I would be doing at that time with the boys.

When I got home from my trip I was just as excited to see the boys as they were me. I definitely missed all 3 of my boys, that includes Scott. I'm sure they had a lot of fun with out me.
