Life is a Beach

We couldn't of had a more wonderful week together as a family as we did this week. It's exciting to think that this is what our future holds with our boys. Hoping that each vacation is lots of fun, but such a blessing to be together.

We went to the beach this week and it was awesome! We stayed right on the beach. Great accomodations (thanks to Nanna and Papa), great weather, great time together. The boys did fantastic. They played well, slept well, and had so much fun at the pool.

Each day Joshua collected shells (shelves is what he called them) on the beach while Dylan played in the sand. After lunch it was pool time followed by a nice restful nap. We took a few walks on the beach, made sure to watch American Idol (Go David Cook), ate each meal on our balcony overlooking the ocean, and the boys had to learn how to take turns when pressing the elevator buttons. It was soooo much fun!

Yes, it is always good to get back home and into your bed. With this vacation, considering how young the boys are, it was one that we could have actually stayed an extra day or two. We were there 7 days. If we had stayed any longer I think Scott would have forgotten what work was like. He is all about family time and made sure not to have any contact with work this week. Yippee!

Sprinkler Time

It was so warm the other day it was time to pull out the water table and sprinkler. The boys absolutely love playing with the water table but Mommy doesn't love having to change Dylan after playing with the table. Dylan doesn't understand the concept of keeping the water "in" the table. He'll just pick up a cup full and pour it all over himself. It is very sweet to watch him play. Joshua has the right idea and has alot of fun playing.

I set up the sprinkler beach ball that Aunt Jaime sent the boys for Easter. They loved it!! Dylan jumped in right away and Joshua enjoyed from a distance at first. They played forever in it and had so much fun.

Playing in the water has gotten us all excited about heading to the beach next week. I hope they enjoy playing in the sand and ocean.

Zoo Time

I'll start off by saying that this week has definitely been better than last week with the whole biting thing. We have just played more and tryed to stay active. Will this stop the fighting and biting, no. They will do that no matter what. I just need to continue to pray that God will give me the wisdom and patience to deal with the boys.

We made a trip to the zoo this week. I never carry my camera but our friend Peyton came along with us so it allowed me to get a few pics. The boys love the zoo. Joshua especially loves the snakes (yuck) and alligators. He is also really into the baboon. Dylan just goes along for the ride. We had a fun time. The weather was great and we actually went into some areas they we hadn't before. The butterfly exhibit was my favorite.
