The Boys Are Ready For Summer

The weather hit 86 degrees today, in my opionion too hot! Why is it we get so excited for Spring here in Alabama and it last all of 2-3 weeks before it starts getting too warm?!

Since we had such great weather to play in water, why not pull out the water table?! Dylan eyed it in the storage closet this morning and pretty much fussed all morning because he wanted to play with it. He had school today so he had to wait until he got home. So guess what was the first thing he mentioned when I picked him up from carpool, you guessed it...the water table.

The boys had the best time playing in the water. Almost an hour had gone by while they were playing and then it was off to nap. What more could a tired Mommy ask for?

Hey and why not take your shirt off, I guess to keep it dry huh?

Easter

Easter was a relaxing day for us in the Heald household. Church, lunch, egg hunt, and rest. Joshua was so excited to go searching for those eggs. To his and Dylan's dissappointment there were no treats in the eggs that Mommy hid. We had already been on a few egg hunts throughout the week and then our neighbor asked the boys if they would like to hunt eggs as well. You would think it was Halloween with all the candy in our house. The unfortunate thing is that there are no more Reese's eggs...so sad for Mommy. Hope everyone had a great Easter.

The Before and After

It was time again for the boys to get haircuts. They usually go with a modest trim except this time I wanted to try a little something different with Joshua. I love Scott's haircut so I figured why not try to get Joshua's to somewhat look like his. The results are obviously shorter. I'm not sure if this is the cut for him. I am just a creature of habit and am so used to his normal cut. What do you think?

An Early Easter

We celebrated Easter with Scott's family a week early this year. We always have a good time at Grandee and Poppy's but Joshua was especially eager to get to their house because he knew there would be an Easter egg hunt. The food was great (the boys loved the cupcakes)and so was the company of Grandee, Poppy, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Stacey, KK, and Zach. The boys had fun searching for eggs as well as the treats they found on the inside.
I'm sure there will be some more postings on our various egg hunts over the course of the week but we need to remember what Easter is all about, the resurrection of Jesus. Nothing could be sweeter than that.

My "New Night Night"

Well it is sad for me to say but Dylan is ready for the big boy bed. He really didn't have much room left to be comfortable after having some books and all of his blankets in the crib with him.
Dylan has adapted very well, knock on wood. He has yet to climb out. He gets cozy under his covers and goes to sleep, at least that is what we hope he is doing. He calls the bed his "New Night Night". My baby is growing up.
Joshua was a little skeptical because he was losing the top portion of his bunk bed. He quickly got over it when he figured out that he can now jump on his bed. What makes it even better he can jump on both beds.
