One Year

Today marks the one year anniversary of my dad's passing. About a month ago it was 2 years for my mom. It all still feels so surreal. I think about the things I took for granted, the things I wished I never said, the things I should have asked more about, and just not saying "I love you" enough. I think about the good times, the bad times, the things that I have I picked up doing from my parents. I know that life is short and only the Lord knows when our time will come. We do need to live life to its fullest (responsibly) and be thankful for the life that God has given us.

I am so thankful for my family, friends, and the support from our church family. The heartache is still there but God is my comfort and my strength. We miss you and love you Nanna and Papa.

September

Can you believe we are almost in the month of October?! Boy how the months are flying. Now that Joshua is in "big" school the days, weeks, and now months are flying by.

The weather here is still HOT, HOT, HOT!!! Did I mention it was still HOT?!

We made one last trip for the year to the beach over Labor Day. We all love the beach and so does the rest of the world. It was good to see all those people considering how a lot of people stopped going for a while because of the oil spill. It was a short trip but a very fun one. The weather was great and the boys are at an age were things have become so much fun. They had their first miniature golf experience and did great. Dylan actually managed to keep track of the ball through all 18 holes.

Soccer has started for Joshua. He just loves it. It has definitely been a better start than last year. It is hot but we press on and sweat a lot. Poor Dylan is just along for the ride. He is just itching to get himself some playing time. He'll have his time.
