Chattanooga

This past weekend we made a trip to Chattanooga. It is only 2 and half hours away. We had a great time! We stayed in a hotel which was a lot of fun for the boys. It had a indoor pool that came in very handy, especially since it rained most of the weekend.

We were able to see a few of the things that Chattanooga is known for. One being the aquarium. I have been to a few aquariums and I vote Chattanooga's as being the best. The lay out they have is great and there is so much to see.

We went to The Children's Discovery Museum which has a lot of hands on for the kids. Go figure, the boys really liked the dinosaur exhibits.

We also went to see the Chattanooga Choo Choo. There is a lot of history which is really neat and quite a few old trains to see.

If you get a chance, I would highly recommend Chattanooga for the day or even the weekend. Things are pretty close together and easy to get to.

Rybak Family Beach Trip

Let me start out by saying sorry for being such a slacker with blogging. I really do want people to see pics of the boys and know what is going on. For those of you who haven't caught on, my maiden name is Rybak.

We went down to Grayton Beach with my brother and his family for a week of sun, fun, and relaxation. We had an awesome time and such great weather. We definitely kept ourselves busy with swimming, playing in the sand, flying kites, playing in the ocean, spotting some sea life, eating out, going on a pontoon boat, and just spending some quality time together.

My brother and his family live north of Chicago. It was a 15 hour car trip down to the beach. I'm thinking it was well worth the drive. Looking forward to more family vacations-both the Rybak and Heald side.

It's Baseball Time

I'll admit, winter definitely brings out the laziness in me. I apologize for not keeping up to date with the blog.

Where has the time gone though?! Can you believe it is already March? The kids have Spring Break in just a few weeks. That means it is almost beach time. Yippee!!

Joshua started t-ball this last weekend. It was so cute to see and even more fun to watch. He did a great job and we are so proud of him. There is definitely room for improvement and we hope to see that by the end of the season as well as his love for playing the sport.

More Christmas pics!!

So much snow, so much fun, so much dinosaur. For those of you who don't already know, the boys love dinosaurs. That would be "Frankie" the boys are sitting on.

Christmas

Christmas was celebrated before and after the actual day, what more could a kid ask for?! We are thankful to have spent time with Grandee and Poppy opening gifts and having fun before the holiday. We love them so much!!
For Christmas we headed up north to Chicago to spend it with my brother and his family. It was a really good Christmas but also a difficult one. This being the first one without both of my parents. I would say the holidays tend to bring out a lot of memories. There were some sad moments but the boys help with their cheerful smiles and the mischief they got into. We enjoyed playing in the snow, riding the train, Shedd Aquarium, and spending time with family while up there.

I'm back!!

Yes, I have been quite the slacker when it comes to blogging lately. I wouldn't say I have been a slacker all around though. I'm sure everyone can relate to the busy holiday season, keeping your house somewhat clean, cooking, children, husband...do I need to go on?! There will be a few posts so make sure to check them out.

Here are some pics Joshua's teacher took for us. They turned out really well and it was a sweet time with the boys.

Happy Thanksgiving

The boys both had a feast last week at their school. It is so sweet to see them dressed up as Indians. Learning about Thanksgiving and being thankful. There is a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving.
